Important Update for Tennessee Policyholders

8th December 2016

Important notice for Tennessee Wild Fire Victims

Pursuant to Executive Order Number 61 issued by the Governor of Tennessee, we are suspending cancellations and non-renewals of policies for the non-payment of premium for a period of at least (60) days from the date of the loss to any policyholder who has suffered property damage, injuries or loss of life as a result of the wildfires in Servier County on November 28, 2016, and severe storms in southeast Tennessee, beginning on November 29, 2016. The sixty (60) day extension of time is not a waiver of a policyholder's obligation to pay premium; it is an extension of time in which to pay the premium that is due. Where a delay in premium payment appears to be the result of disruption to the mail delivery system or displacement of the policyholder due to the severe wildfires or storms, we will work with policyholders and take those circumstances into account before cancelling a policy. We also take those circumstances into account for policyholders who have sustained bodily injury, property damage, or loss of life as a result of these events.
